My main research interest is the ecology, physiology and genetics of small mammals. My current research focus on: (1) energy expenditures in small mammals (using doubly labeled water technique and measurements of resting metabolic rates); (2) effect of body mass and metabolic rates variation on winter survival of small mammals (weasels, voles); (3) quantitative genetics (heritability of body mass and metabolic rates in weasels and voles), (4) genetic structure of small mammals populations, and (5) population dynamics of weasels and voles. I serve also as Editor-in-chief of Mammal Research.
