His research career has focussed on the ecology of carnivore predators, their interspecific relationships, and with their prey. He currently works as a permanent senior researcher of the Spanish Research Council (CSIC) at the Spanish Wildlife Research Institute (IREC). His current research lines include the ecological mechanisms of coexistence in communities of mammalian carnivores and the impact of predators on small game species and their management.
