Come and join us for a 3 day, 2 night trip to view the northern sand dunes, lobster shacks, cave systems and offshore islands at Cervantes and Jurien Bay. This trip aims to showcase the semi-arid environment of the northern sandplains and coastal heathlands 2.5 hours north of Perth, and the fauna and flora that occur within a biodiversity hotspot for Western Australia. The trip is 3 days and includes 2 nights accommodation, and all breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Also included are offshore trips on a boat to view the Australian sealion colony off Jurien Bay, and a visit to Boullanger Island where the Department of Parks and Wildlife have been involved with the recovery of an endangered marsupial (the Dibbler) for several years. A rough itinerary (subject to weather and sea conditions) is:
Day 1
0900 Depart Perth
1030 Lancelin for coffee/Drink and a walk along the jetty
1230 Lobster Shack Tour and Lunch
1400 Pinnacles Tour drive and walk
1700 Book into Accommodation, and dinner
Day 2
0900 Sea Lion and Island Tour
1400 Lunch in Greenhead
1500 Sandy Cape Tour including Sandboarding (boards and fees included)
1800 Dinner
Day 3
0900 Stockyard Gully Caves tour
1230 Lunch in Jurien Bay
1400 Depart Jurien for Perth stopping at a coastal town along the way
